Unless you think I did something wrong.

I manually added the enviro var to windows (for the test) in this format.
Cache=C:\NotesCache\%UserName%\cashe.ndk
Also tried a few others including the one that you suggested.
I deleted out the notes.ndk from there Y drive (stored on the network) as soon as notes open it reappears and I can not see one in the folder specified.
Is that what you were suggesting that I try?

Can you run the full client (domino\designer) in multi-user mode? We normally have one citrix server that has the full client on it for use by our external notes administrator.
